How the CISCE syllabus is organised

CISCE publishes a Regulations & Syllabuses document per examination year, with a full syllabus per subject: aims, section-wise content, and the split between the written paper and internal assessment. Unlike NCERT-based boards, CISCE does not publish its own textbooks — schools teach from prescribed or chosen texts against this syllabus, which is why the syllabus document itself is the authority.

The subject pages on this site list chapter-level topics and frequently examined areas for the subjects we cover; always reconcile them with the official syllabus for your examination year.

ICSE vs ISC are separate documents: Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) syllabi are published separately and differ in structure even for the same subject name. Download the one for your examination and year from cisce.org.
