# August 4, 2026: 2027 specimen-paper release is reported, but check subjects carefully

A report published by AglaSem on August 4, 2026 says CISCE has uploaded specimen question papers for the ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 Year 2027 examinations. We could not independently confirm a complete subject-by-subject release list from a readable current CISCE circular, so students should download only papers that appear on the official CISCE publication pages and should not assume that every subject is already available.

## Who is affected?

This update is for students preparing for the ICSE Year 2027 examination, usually students in Class 10 during the 2026–27 academic session, and ISC Year 2027, usually students in Class 12 during the same session. It also matters to teachers planning school tests, revision schedules and internal preparation.

There is no application deadline attached to the specimen-paper release. Students do not need to register anywhere to solve a specimen paper. The next step is simply to check the official CISCE pages for your examination and subject, download the available PDF, and save a copy offline.

## What has changed?

The change since the earlier 2026-cycle material is that a fresh 2027 release is now being reported during the current preparation year. AglaSem’s report says students can access subject-wise PDFs through the CISCE website and describes the material as covering both ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12.

That report also claims that the papers continue the board’s focus on application, analysis, interpretation and evaluation. We are not treating every detail in that report as confirmed CISCE policy, because the report is a secondary source and the linked CISCE publication pages could not be fully fetched in our check. In particular, we are not publishing an exact list of subjects that are “out”, “pending” or “replaced” unless the relevant official CISCE PDF can be opened and identified.

CISCE’s earlier specimen-paper circular, issued on July 24, 2025, shows why caution is sensible: the Council released papers in selected subjects and explained that the remaining subjects could continue with the earlier format. That circular is useful background, but it is not confirmation of the 2027 subject list. Do not use it as proof that a particular 2027 paper has been released.

## What should students do now?

1. Open the official ICSE publications page for Class 10 material or the official ISC publications page for Class 12 material. 2. Search for your exact subject and check that the PDF itself says ICSE Examination Year 2027 or ISC Examination Year 2027. 3. Confirm the subject name, paper number and examination year on the first page before solving it. 4. Download the marking scheme or answer key only when it is attached to the official paper or linked from the official CISCE page. 5. If your subject is not listed, continue with your current syllabus, school worksheets and the latest officially available material. Do not rely on screenshots, forwarded drive links or claims that a paper has been “leaked”.

If a subject is still missing, nothing happens to your eligibility and there is no penalty. You simply do not yet have that particular official practice paper. Keep studying from the syllabus and previous official specimen material until CISCE publishes the new file.

This update also does not announce the 2027 board timetable. CISCE has not published a 2027 timetable in the sources checked for this post, so students should not treat dates circulating on social media or coaching websites as examination dates.

Official source checked: CISCE’s ICSE and ISC publication pages were checked on August 20, 2026. The earlier CISCE specimen-paper circular was issued on July 24, 2025. The August 4, 2026 release claim is reported by AglaSem and is not yet fully confirmed against a current readable CISCE circular.
