ICSE and ISC Documents on DigiLocker: Marksheet, Passing and Migration Certificates
After ICSE and ISC results are declared, digitally signed copies of your statement of marks, passing certificate, and migration certificate become available on DigiLocker — typically within 48 hours of the result declaration. These documents are legally valid and accepted by colleges and institutions as official CISCE certificates.
These are three separate documents and serve different purposes. Understanding which one you need saves time, particularly during college admission season when deadlines are tight.
Your CISCE documents on DigiLocker
| Document | What it is | When you typically need it |
|---|---|---|
| Statement of Marks | Shows subject-wise marks from your ICSE or ISC examination | College admission, entrance exam forms, and personal records |
| Passing Certificate | Certifies that you passed the ICSE or ISC examination | Formal college admission and document verification |
| Migration Certificate | A formal record used when moving from one board or institution to another | Required by some colleges when you are transitioning from ICSE/ISC to a university; not always needed immediately |
How to access your documents on DigiLocker
- Create or log in to your DigiLocker account — Go to digilocker.gov.in and sign in with your Aadhaar-linked mobile number or create an account.
- Search for CISCE in the issued documents section — Look under "Issued Documents" and select CISCE as the issuer.
- Locate your ICSE or ISC documents — Your statement of marks, passing certificate, and migration certificate should appear approximately 48 hours after the result is declared.
- Download and share as needed — DigiLocker documents can be shared directly with institutions as digitally signed files. Physical printouts may be acceptable at some institutions but confirm before submission.
Download documents early: College admission deadlines can fall quickly after results. Download your DigiLocker documents as soon as they become available (within 48 hours of results) and keep copies in more than one place.
