ICSE & ISC Admission
CISCE does not admit students directly — you join a CISCE-affiliated school, which registers you for the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) examinations. Here is how the process works and what to confirm before you enrol.
How CISCE registration works
- Join a CISCE-affiliated school — Admission is at the school, not at CISCE. Confirm the school is currently affiliated to the Council before you enrol.
- ICSE registration (Class 9–10) — Your school registers you for the ICSE examination. Your name, date of birth, and subject choices are submitted by the school.
- ISC registration (Class 11–12) — For the ISC examination, the school registers your chosen subject combination at the start of Class 11.

Frequently asked questions
How do I register for the ICSE exam?
Your CISCE-affiliated school registers you for the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) examinations. CISCE does not register individual private candidates the way some other boards do, so admission to an affiliated school is the route.
What is the difference between ICSE and ISC?
ICSE is the Class 10 examination and ISC is the Class 12 examination, both conducted by CISCE. ISC subject choices in Class 11–12 follow the stream and subject groups you select.
